If this had been shown as a public service message in India, there would have been an uproar against the brand/agency. But common sense tells us that this ad is simply a FUNNY TAKE on how people try to kill them selves knowingly or knowingly and how one can try to avoid this. Making it into a animated film with cute cartoon characters and a catchy song makes this ad more humours and appealing. With a mix of cute morbid animated figures and a catchy tune, they came up with the campaign “Dumb Ways to Die” which became so popular that it bagged the 6 th spot on iTunes globally within 48 hours of its release. shubhamPosted 8 years agoBesides sending out the message of being careful around trains, the video also did a good job of telling people how not to be dumb, in general. The video went viral and in the following year it was made into a gaming app with the same name. It’s a really fun video, and you can’t help but hum along with the tune. But end up loosing their life while trying to save 10 seconds at metro station(mumbai locals are exception, the crowd is reponsible for anything happens to you ), at railway crossings, roads, highways(while overtaking). It is for those people who plans to do so or given up their life and watching their dumbest move ever streamed on gods personal internet connection. Those cute cartoon characters conveyed a very strong message so satirically and sarcastically with beauty of humour that whatever you do on those metro stations in order to save your "crucial" 10 seconds of life shows how much you value your life. If those people dont see their life worth for anything and end up giving it this way, so its message for those that either you be careful in your life and wait for a natural death to occur or end up giving up your life in such a way that your organs stay in a condition to be donated. You will never realize the importance of this life until and unless you ask your inner self that how many of your friends and realative depend on you. Ask a syrian citizen that what is the value of life then you will realise that how lucky you are that you are happily alive in this beautiful world. Enough of this essay part, now coming to the topic. Yes this ad is so beautiful and that song conveys a very serious message with so muck of melody complied with funny acts that what are those incidental dumbest ways to die.Because those serious board type warnings never seems to works otherwise it would have until now. intelligent use of animation and visuals supplemented by a very melodious song will sure going to change the mind of the viewer and he/she will caution everytime he finds a situation where a simple act of dumbness by him/her will result in not so favorable consequences. priya motwaniPosted 7 years agovery creative n artisic advertisment..
